Paintings I have done this past year.

My first classes I used WN artist paint and Arches 140lb cold press paper.  When I started painting with Cathy Hillegas I started painting on Arches 300lb cold press paper and I really like it much better.   You can see some of Cathy's paintings.  http://cathyhillegas.com/works

THE PUT THE LINE ACROSS THE PAINTINGS FOR ANOTHER WEBSITE SO THE PAINTINGS COULDN'T BE COPIED.
ONE OF THE FIRST PAINTINGS I DID AFTER NOT PAINTING FOR 15 YEARS

Painting from photo...Irish countryside

Painting from photo my Mary Lee Cerillo
It is my favorite.  I did the flower by glazing and my last glase with WN Opera really made the flower stand out.  I  had never studied a Monarch butterfly like I did when I painted this one

SUNFLOWER painted in Cathy Hillegas's watercolor class

My last painting in class from a photo of a building in a little town on the Amalfi coast.  I was just finished and getting ready to frame it and I discovered I dropped some water on the little lamp.  Just about ruined it.

My first painting I did in Cathy Hillegas's class.  She is a fantastic teacher.
